about L4D2,
I guess it's related with the news that Valve have checked that Open GL is more efficient then Direct3D and even with the actual problems with AMD or Nvidia graphic drivers they decided to develop basically to Linux... because they believe that Windows 8 will be a catastrophe... I don't blame them... because I share of some opinions too

yep. they got more performance using opengl than direct3D, even when running it in windows!
